As a sneak peek - have the initial thumbnail sketch that has since turned into something requiring epic storyboarding. I blame Heather Dale.

Some small character ideas from my sketchbook - the daughters of Gorlois of Tintagel. From left to right: Morgawse, Elaine, and Morgan le Fay. These go with a specific project to be named in the future.
’(…)She looked down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror cracked from side to side;
“The curse is come upon me,” cried
The Lady of Shalott.’ - Tennyson

Second version. With more.
I am apparently a knight who lives in Camelot. My best friend is Galahad, my lover is Mordred. My enemy is Lancelot, and I will be killed by Nimue.

A continuation of the appreciation for Edwin Austin Abbey!
As promised, here is a small look at the Grail Quest murals he did for the Boston Public Library in the 1890’s. The series is fifteen murals depicting Sir Galahad’s quest for the Holy Grail. I’m afraid that images of this series are rather difficult to come by, and I actually did not have any on my computer. But, at least have an old postcard and a photo of the room in which they are painted, the seventh panel (Galahad arriving at the Castle of Maidens), and the fifteenth panel (Galahad, now King of Sarras, seeing the Grail sent heavenward by Joseph of Arimathea and a host of angels).
