So, on New Year’s day, I finally got around to watching some of The Hollow Crown productions. By which I mean: a friend and I watched three of them, and it was brilliant. All we have left to watch is Henry V, but so far all of them have been wonderful.
And, it resulted in a lot of sketches. I thought I might share a few.
To start: several sketches of Richard II (because that will always be my favourite of Shakespeare’s histories).
GUYS - how did I miss the fact that the BBC is making Richard II????
At the risk of revealing myself as a giant geek (well… alright. everyone already knows that i am a giant geek), I have to say that it is one of my very favourite Shakespearean plays. It is surpassed in my esteem only by Hamlet (which, honestly, is my favourite piece of fiction ever) and Twelfth Night. And, sadly, everyone always seems to forget it exists. They always think I’m talking about Richard III. But, still - film version! :D
